A nice but steep hike to a small bench on the side of Goat mountain. An outing for those looking for the ultimate view of Baker and Shuksan. Of course for the energy filled there is a nice steep snow slope (at least in may) which makes a great climb to an excellent summit.
Miles: 8.2 Elevation Gain: -100 to 100 (-800 to valley, +900 to saddle, -200 to lake)
A difficult hike done in the snow but worth the work to get to the lake and walk along Mt Han's Ridge. The Forest service lists the hike as more difficult so summer conditions must not alter it much. Great views of Shuksan, Baker and numerous other peaks.
